Letizia, Princess of Asturias was born Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano on September 15, 1972 in Oviedo, Spain to journalist Jesús Ortiz Álvarez and nurse Paloma Rocasolano Rodríguez.
On May 22nd, 2004 she married Felipe, Prince of Asturias. The couple has two daughters Infanta Leonor (October 31, 2005) and Infanta Sofía (April 29, 2007)
